so i came up with an idea..each day in november i'm going to choose one random thing that i am thankful for to blog about. i'll try to reflect on the day and choose a moment, thought, or comment that really struck me to share with all of you! soooo since it's already the 5th, i'll start with posting four now (the fifth is in my last blog) and continue daily after this.
november first: sugar.
why would i ever choose to put sugar as something i'm thankful for? well here's the deal. my roommate and i decided that No Shave November would just be nasty, so we chose to participate in No Sugar November. as many of you know, i live on cookies and sweets so this is quite the undertaking. although i'm slowly beginning to realize that No Sugar November might turn into Migraine November, i'm still going to try my hardest to stick with it. :)
november second: harry potter.
"welcome to the 21st century, kelli." i watched the first and second harry potter movies for the first time ever...and i'm hooked! i literally knew NOTHING about the books or movies, so it was quite interesting watching the spells and weird stuff like that, but i surprisingly liked it! i'm trying to watch all 6 of the movies before the premier of the 7th in two weeks, so i'll keep you updated on how that goes.
november third: job opportunities.
today i did an interview for a summer internship and for as nervous as i was, i think it went pretty well!! when i got back to the dorms, i couldn't help but be thankful for the education i've received that allowed me to be prepared for the interview. so here's a shout out to marian and creighton...the two most amazing schools on the earth.
november fourth: MARIAN HIGH SCHOOL.
i miss my marian uniform, farm boy talks, m.beat broadcasts, surprise day rumors, random quad dance parties, bake sales, small stall talk, marian moms lunches, field week anticipation, and just everything about marian. i am forever thankful for the memories i have from my four years at marian. walking into school every morning was the best part of my day-seeing the uniforms, hearing laughter, and smelling fresh puppy-chow being passed down the halls was the best "good morning" anyone could ever receive. the students, faculty, and teachers at marian will always hold a special place in my heart and i will continually be thankful for their presence in my life.
november fifth: baby dominic.
