finale.

on more final to go and then im finally free for christmas break! i havent had any motivation to study because it's been a long semester and im ready to be done, but i really need to do well on this. my exam is in sociology, so im not too worried, but it'll probably be a tough one.

last night i spent quite a while catching up with a good friend, becca stephan, and it was definitely necessary! we've both had crazy busy semesters (not an excuse, but it didn't help our cause. haha) and haven't had the opportunity to hang out much. it was great sharing stories and talking about our christmas break plans.  :)

speaking of which, beth and i are planning on going to kansas city for a while over break to hang out and see some people. my really good friend, blair wittenburg, leaves for a semester in the dominican republic through ILAC at Creighton in january, so it will be good to see her a bit before she leaves. then i'll probably hang out in lee summit a bit with westin miller, jhulan banago, carli haney, and hopefully some other people from my floor!

i also decided on wednesday night that i will be changing my major (yes, again!). i will be going back to the college of arts and sciences to study cultural anthropology with a minor in either social entrepreneurship or justice & peace studies. i have a meeting with my advisor today to re-work my schedule, so i'm really excited about my new classes and can't wait to get started next semester!

i haven't posted about this yet, but i will be spending three weeks in Peru this summer for a service/immersion class through Creighton.  there are fifteen students and two teachers going to live in Villa el Salvador, which is on the outskirts of Lima.  i'm not sure on the exact details of our service "assignment," but i know we will be working at an organization that assists impoverished children. i'm so excited to be in Peru, learn about the culture, and experience a completely new way of living. below are some pictures i found online of Villa el Salvador..enjoy!

Villa el Salvador is located on the outskirts of Lima, Peru
